With locations in Tower Hamlets, Walthamstow and Wimbledon, it’s the Hackney Wick workspace that this the flagship hub for this creative workspace. Second Home’s impressive flagship office space is just off Brick Lane, filling a building with an eye-catching retro-futurist interior. It boasts a culturally active creative community reflected in the events programme it offers – from talks to workshops – and offers weekly wellness activities from yoga to fitness bootcamps. Runway East
Located in Moorgate – close to Old Street and the City – Runway East pitches itself as a friendly space for start ups.As well as providing opportunities to connect with investors it keeps office life light, with cake on Wednesdays and rooms to cut loose with pool or table tennis. The Trampery
The Trampery has four locations across East London, at Fish Island Village, East India Dock, Stratford and Old Street, which is its flagship space (it also has one more in Tottenham). Each offers a range of office and shared workspace for creative businesses, with facilities ranging from member’s lounges to libraries as well as a programme of events from comedy nights to yoga. Huckletree
The Shoreditch branch of Huckletree boasts some pretty cool facilities – like an in-house squash court, private rooftop terrace and “iconic” ride-in bike ramp. The high spec, modern coworking space – bang in the middle of London’s creative community – is a vibrant place to work with an active community and events, talks and masterclasses on offer to its members. Blooming Founders
A place for female entrepreneurs, this coworking space in Shoreditch – formerly known as Blooms – offers a network of support and seeks to break down the barriers women in business might face. As well as meeting rooms and workspace it offers mentorship, child care services and 24-hour member access. This Whitechapel based start up hub is focused on affordability – with free meeting rooms, rolling contracts and no deposits and has a range of locations ranging from the typical office, to converted Georgian terraces, all with an eclectic, stripped back feel leaving the focus on work – and community. WeWork
It’s one of the biggest names in coworking with countless locations around the world, but we’re going to flag up WeWorks London Fields office (just round the corner from where ICON is based). The four storey co-working space has a private roof terrace, colourful wallpaper and a front desk that looks like a food truck – very fitting for a space right next to one of London’s best foodie hang outs – Broadway Market.
