One of our favourite bookstores around London, IDEA Books, is well known not only for its publishing, but also its well designed merch.
Here’s a look into the company and some designs we’ve recently printed for them.
Un-officially founded years before, David Owens and Angela Hill created IDEA Books in ’09 when they acquired a space in St Martins Lane hotel in West London. They now work out of Dover Street Market, as a publishing house and bookstore, selling both new and vintage books & mags alongside their developing line of printed merch.
We love receiving their new designs, with a range of awesome typography to full colour photographs. Here’s a look at some of our favs by IDEA:
For these full colour images, we used DTG printing to print onto White tees.

For IDEA’s garments, as an alternative to sewing in woven labels we use screen printing to print the inside of their tees.
We also loved printing these designs, from IDEA’s ‘WET’ series:
We suggest visiting IDEA’s store at London’s Dover Street Market next chance you get!
