Our friends over at 99designs are currently holding an awesome contest to create an illustration based around Silicon Roundabout…
This competition is to celebrate the recent launch of the London based 99designs office. The winning design will win £500 AND Icon Printing will be printing t-shirts with the winning illustration all over ‘em – because we’re nice like that.
What’s Silicon Roundabout all about then? Well, it’s the heart of the tech start-up community in London. Officially it is the starting point for 200 + web companies, but its more than just internet businesses. There are great independent bars, pop up restaurants, clothes shops, coffee shops, art galleries. In a nutshell, it’s a hub of creative commerce. So, this is a image design for a geographic area. It could potentially be used on everything from the back of a business card size to a poster, t-shirt, social media page and more!
For more info on the design brief head over to the contest page here – 99designs.co.uk/contest or check out their blog.
There are some great designs already up, like the one featured in the top image – this one is by Hermin. Nice work! You’d be silly not to enter, and while you’re at it why not enter our contest too? If you’re a Design or Illustration student graduating this year, make sure you enter our T-shirt design competition! It’s a corker!
