With the London 2012 Olympics now less than a month away, we thought we’d have a look around their online shop to check out what’s on offer in the way of promotional clothing. Due to the committees strict branding guidelines – you may be better off buying from their online selection rather than printing your own (due to copyright restrictions. For more info on that, check out this link).

There is a wide variety of styles, ranges and graphics; they’ve definitely catered for every taste. Whether it’s Team GB, Adidas or London 2012 Union Jack branding you’re after, their range of Olympic t-shirts and tops will impress.

LONDON 2012 online shop and promotional clothing

One of our favourite items available, is a tote bag that is sporting an image of the iconic poster from the last time London held the Olympic games in 1948. Pretty eye-catching!

The winning design will be printed on t-shirts or tote bags that will become part of the Runway to Win collection – sitting alongside other garments with artwork designed by well known fashion houses such as Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang in the Obama 2012 online store.

Their prints are inspired by the aesthetic appeal of the 1950s simplicity, composing designs that are both timeless and appealing to all generations. They’re into one colour prints – two at most, keeping things clean and unfussy. Some of their designs are pre-distressed at the artwork stage, which adds to the retro feel.

Claudia Doms is a graphic designer from Germany who is currently living and working in London. She’s recently done a bit of work for Topshop, including coming up with these screen printed canvas tote bags. They were created in time for fashion week, promoting NEWGEN winner Mary Katrantzou and other up and coming fashion designers.screen printed tote bags

Claudia has captured these bags really nicely – utilising everyday back drops for some, others are livened up by printed fabric swatches from the designers current collections.
