This weekend the London Illustration Fair returns to the Hoxton Arches with their Summer Festival: Psychedelia. The three day celebration of mind-bending work showcases visual treats from illustrators, designers, collectives, and print studios working within the UK.As ever, the focus is on championing the freshest work out there, and with exhibitors such as Belly Kids, Material Gallery, East London Printmakers and Not Another Bill lined up, it looks like they’re set to do just that.

We’re especially excited to see new stuff from Heretic Studio who recently produced 500 unique screen printed covers for the special edition of People of Print’s ’Print Isn’t Dead’. As the festival’s creative partner they will be showcasing their latest body of work which teams geometric patterns with an eye-popping fluorescent palette. Brothers of the Stripe and Pen Pushers meanwhile, will be battling it out across the duration of the event in a 2D versus 3D illustration contest.
One wall within the show will be dedicated solely to limited edition prints from the likes of Saskia Pomeroy, Supermundane, Paul Blow and Steve Thomas, and the two outside spaces will feature a myriad of murals created by Bread Collective and other London studios. Visitors who want to get hands-on can take part in screen printing workshops with Hello Print Studio and pick up pieces of work from the shop, before sampling grub from street food vendors and drinks from the bar.
The show kicks off this Friday with a party complete with psychedelic soundtrack and liquid light show and runs until Sunday 12th July. Students can grab half price tickets to Friday’s launch by using promotional code ‘cosmic’. Find out more about Summer Festival: Psychedelia here. See you there!
